Futsal is now the fastest growing sport in England, and England Deaf has been at the heart of English futsal since the beginning. The initial aim of our club is to promote futsal within the Deaf community in the UK.

Our love and commitment to the fast-paced game have led us to become a successful Deaf futsal club in the country, having won several Championships and becoming Bronze medal winners in Europe. With strong determination, we aim to contribute towards the development of the game in England, especially within our community.

With one team and one dream, we are England Deaf Futsal Club.

As the country face several challenges during the COVID pandemic – Futsal has been pushed into deep despair with the closure of Futsal arenas and sports venues across the country, effectively stopping Futsal games from taking place for remainder of 2020.
With the withdrawal of Football Association funding of Deaf Futsal in 2019 – shortly before the World Deaf Futsal championship in Switzerland – FA had also terminated funding and participation of Men elite Futsal squad only few days prior to the UEFA European Championship qualifier.
A group of volunteers have established England Deaf International Futsal in resilience form to preserve the Deaf Futsal players competing at international levels. EDIF are working on establishing strategic plan leading to participation in European Futsal championship in 2022.
EDIF have submitted expression of interest for both Men and Women teams to European Deaf Sports Organisation (EDSO). The interim set up will allow for further recruitment of roles to prepare squad developments and fundraising plan ahead of a potential mini tournament qualification which will take place if there are more than 16 countries taking part for 16 places in the European Championship.
The mini tournaments are expected to take place between November 2021 and March 2022.
Please keep checking out our website for further news and please help us by sponsoring our journey to Championship 2022. We are hugely dependent on support from our Futsal community.
